AIMS - Association Of Irish Musical Societies

AIMS is an all Ireland organisation that is dedicated to the promotion of musical theatre to the highest possible standard.

The Association is made up of members of Musical Societies and functions at local, regional and national levels. It helps affiliated Societies with information, expertise and advice on all aspects of musical theatre.

The AIMS 'Showtimes' is published ten times every year and allows members to keep up to date on what is happening in individual Societies and in Ireland generally.

Each year AIMS adjudicators attend and assess over 80 shows and a list of nominations for best male singer, actress, chorus etc is announced prior to the organisations annual seminar/awards presentation.

Wexford Light Opera Society is proud of its contribution to and achievements in AIMS. Our past Musical Director/Chorus Master, Fr. John O'Brien is a former National President of the organisation.
